About Us
AKay’s Coffee is a new, locally owned coffee shop focused on quality, connection, and community.
We’re an artisan café with a drive-thru and cozy seating for about 25–30 guests. Our menu
keeps it simple — great coffee, espresso, specialty drinks and pastries — made and served with care.
As we are preparing to open our doors, we’re looking for passionate and experienced Baristas to help
bring our vision to life and lead our team day-to-day.

  • Handles customer complaints while maintaining a positive attitude and smiles while
    customer is present and after customer leaves the shop.

  • Input and creativity in shop operations and offerings.

Team Building & Development

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth service in both drive-thru and café.
  • Train, and inspire baristas to deliver friendly, consistent, high-quality service.
  • Manage inventory and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain positive relationships with team members.
  • Lead and promote team efforts.
  • Is willing to accept responsibility for his or her own actions.
  • Does not engage in gossip.

Availability Requirements

  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early morning, evenings, weekends,
    nights and/or holidays to complete scheduling, labor, and responsibilities.
  • Available to attend and participate in meetings required for position.

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing/walking during shop shift.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Register/POS and bar equipment usage.
  • Frequent rotation & use of the wrist/s, spine, & upper extremities to perform duties.
  • Constant reaching, turning, & precision work around bar area & hot equipment.
  • Constant receiving and sharing detailed information that must be remembered &
    accurately processed through oral & written communication.
  • Occasional distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities, in
    intensity or quality, of flavors.
  • Constant clarity of vision at near/far distances
  • Lifting/transporting hot items, interacting with heated equipment, steam, hot water, loud
    noise, chemicals and other at-risk conditions.
  • Food processing and other duties with use of machines and/or sharp cutting tools.
  • Occasional warehousing and storage environment/duties.
